Oporto Sports client and Stevenage manager Steve Evans celebrated a remarkable one-year in charge of The Boro, which has seen the side’s fortunes transformed.
Taking over in March 2022, Stevenage were just three points above the relegation zone, with sides below having games in hand. Evans and his staff then inspired a run of ten points across six games, leaving Stevenage safe with three games remaining.
A year later and Stevenage sit in second place in League Two, with 67 points from 36 games, with ten to play, while also enjoying memorable cup runs in the FA Cup, EFL Cup and EFL Trophy, with the giant-killing 2-1 win over Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round the standout moment of the season so far.
Evans’ men face promotion rivals Salford City at home tomorrow (Saturday), before a trip to Northampton Town a week later.
